Player: #21 Jonathan Bachini

Comments: Classic home shirt worn by Jonathan Bachini during his loan spell with Brescia in the 2001/02 season.

Brescia went into the final day of the season in the relegation zone, needing a win against Bologna and hoping either Vicenza or Hellas Verona lost.

However, Bachini scored in a heroic 3-0 win against Bologna helping Le Rondinelle ultimately avoid relegation by a single-point. (View highlights here). The winger made 9 appearances for Brescia, scoring two goals.

Brescia also reached the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.

Bachini was a promising young talent who was capped for Italy in 1998, but was sadly banned initially for 9 months due to testing positive for cocaine in 2004. After a return to the game with Siena, he tested positive once more and was banned for life by the FIGC.

The Brescia squad also included Luca Toni, Roberto Baggio, Pep Guardiola, Pavel Srníček and Emanuele Filippini.
