Comments: Iconic home shirt worn by Velez Sarsfield during the 1994/95 campaigns

In the 1993 Clausura, Vélez won the Argentine Primera División title for 25 years on the final day of the season. The 1-1 draw with Estudiantes was enough to secure the title as goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilavert scoring his first goal for the club. In 1994, they defeated Sao Paulo to claim the Copa Libertadores 2-1 on aggregate and then also beat AC Milan 2-0 to claim the Intercontinental Cup.

Carlos Bianchi's squad also included Roberto Trotta, Walter Pico, Omar Asad, Mauricio Pellegrino, Martin Posse and Hector Almandoz.
