They lost their first two games against Croatia and Argentina (wearing yellow shorts) and ultimately didn't progress to the knockout stages, but they did manage a 2-1 victory over Japan in the final group game. Both goals were scored by Whitmore, making him the country's record goalscorer at the World Cup.
