They famously defeated reigning world champions Brazil 3-0 in the final, with a brace from Zinedine Zidane and a goal from Emmanuel Petit. 

The squad also included Laurent Blanc, Didier Deschamps, Lillian Thuram, Bixente Lizarazu, Patrick Vieira and Fabian Barthez.
