AC Milan alternate football shirt 1996/97
Player: #9 George Weah
Comments: Extremely rare fourth shirt worn by the Rossoneri during the '96/97 campaign.
George Weah scored a goal vs Hellas Verona that will always be remembered in world football. Weah collected the ball in his own penalty area when defending a corner, he then took the ball all the way to the other end, slotting it into the bottom corner.
The shirt has a subliminal, chevron stripes pattern and displays the iconic OPEL sponsor raised across the midriff. The oversized Milan crest is embroidered to the chest.
The squad included the aforementioned George Weah, Roberto Baggio and Zvonomir Boban . Milan bid farewell to their legendary captain Franco Baresi, who retired after this season.
The shirt displays the original, official Lotto felt nameset on the reverse.
