In 1989, West Germany hosted the 1989 European Championships. The first unified team of East and West Germany completed in the 1991 European Championships and finished 3rd.

Official size 'D10' (or US XXXL), made in West Germany, 100% cotton. Same trefoil embroidery as the West Germany football shirts of 1988/90. 'Deutschland' across shoulders after unification (was Bundesrepublik' before). Tampax sponsor only on women's attire, not men's.
