Juventus alternate football shirt 1996/97

Comments: Extremely rare player-issue away shirt which was only worn once in a pre-season friendly against AC Milan on 21st August 1996 in the Trofeo Luigi Berlusconi. The shirt features Kappa pattern through the sleeves rather than the star design ultimately worn during the regular season. These shirts were not commercially available.

The reigning European champions were sadly beaten finalists in their attempt to defend their Champions League title, losing to Borussia Dortmund. The Old Lady did win the Scudetto and the Intercontinental Cup with a victory against River Plate.

The squad included Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps, Alessandro Del Piero, Alen Boksic, Christian Vieri and Mark Iuliano.

Odd bobble. Small snag/pull on reverse of right sleeve.
