Comments: Classic home shirt worn by Les Bleus during the World Cup Final against Italy in 2006.
The World Cup is infamously remembered for Zinedine Zidane - winner of the Golden Ball (player of the tournament) having guided France all the way to the final - was sent off for headbutting Marco Materazzi in extra-time. Having announced his retirement from football before the tournament this was Zidane's final action in his illustrious career, walking off the pitch past the World Cup trophy after a moment of madness. Italy went on to win 5-3 on penalties and were crowned world champions.
Raymond Domenech's squad also included Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Lillian Thuram, Frank Ribery, Florent Malouda, Eric Abidal and Claude Makelele.
